Revitalizing a historic landmark to harmonize heritage, functionality, and sustainability.
The comprehensive renovation of the Belgian Embassy in Brasília, situated on a site historically gifted by former president Juscelino Kubitschek in 1980, revitalizes an iconic property while preserving its cultural and architectural heritage.
The project includes architecture and engineering consulting, tender action, and construction management services.
Our team is responsible for the global retrofit project of the Belgian Embassy Compound in Brazil. The intervention took place in the chancery building and the residences within the complex, covering a total floor area of 25,000 m².
This endeavor includes the complete revitalization of the embassy complex, focusing on the ambassador’s residence, the chancery, and the quarters for diplomatic staff. A key highlight of the project is the careful rehabilitation of the gardens, originally designed by the renowned Brazilian landscape architect Burle Marx, ensuring their historical significance and natural beauty are faithfully preserved.
