Architecture
Since 2002 Atria has operated an architecture practice. We believe that architecture, engineering and construction techniques are best achieved when they work in close collaboration. This tripartite structure is the basis of our creative process. Working in this way alows us help people to enjoy more sustainable, flexible and intelligent constructed environments.
Sustainable Building Design
Our main objectives with sustainable design practices are to reduce, or completely avoid, depletion of critical resources like energy, water, land, and raw materials; helping to create facilities that are accessible, secure and healthy; while minimizing environmental impact.
Accessible Environments
We care for inclusive design. Over the years we understood that a good environment shall have a pan-user approach, removing physical, sensory and intellectual barriers in order to achieve innovative, flexible and inclusive spaces and services for everyone. We can help businesses and organisations meet their duties under local and international standards such as the Brazilian NBR 9050 - Accessibility Regulation and the UK Equality Act 2010, for example.

BIM - Building Information Modeling
We have been working with BIM (Building Information Modeling) since 2015. BIM 3D model-based process gives our architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) professionals the insight and tools to more efficiently plan, design, construct, and manage buildings and infrastructure. By using these tools we deliver better design packages while being consistent to international standards.
Retrofit
Retrofitting an existing building most of the times leads us to be more cost-effective than building a new facility. In addition to conserving energy, our team’s goal is to create high-performance buildings by applying an integrated, whole-building design process to our projects, both during the planning and design phases, ensuring that all key design objectives can be met. Further, specially when working with International Diplomatic Clients, the unique aspects for retrofit of DIPLOMACY buildings is always seen as a challenge by our team, that engages strongly to preserve original architecture concepts from diplomatic complexes.
MEP Engineering
We believe that mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems strategies are a strong base of decision making, cost estimation, construction administration, documentation, building management, and building maintenance. Our MEP engineers consultants help ensure that a construction or renovation project maximizes performance, minimizes cost, and provides long-term value. This allows our team to determine how infrastructure systems best integrate with a building’s architecture and desired performance.

Structural Engineering
We work in a collaborative way to make sure that our structural engineering consultants work closely with our architecture team, clients and collaborators to provide innovate and cost-benefit solutions.
